Acceptable Use Policy

Our services are created and maintained by lawyers, for lawyers. The safety and security of the private information you provide to us is at the core of our information management practices and the design of our systems. We have designed our systems from the ground up to enhance privacy and confidentiality so that you, and your clients, can have peace of mind.

To support this, we require all our users to play their part in maintaining the integrity of our services. This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the standards of conduct we require of our users and the actions we may take if we believe those standards are not met. If you have an account with JADE, JADE Professional, or Pinpoint Press yourself or if you are part of an organisation with an enterprise-wide account, this Policy forms part of your (or your organisation'ss) contract with us.

In this Policy, “users” means all users of our systems whether they are account holders, employees of our enterprise customers or visitors to our websites; “services” refers to all services, products and features owned and operated by us (BarNetwork Pty Ltd); and “content” means your content – your documents, annotations and any contribution you make or add to the services as a user.

Your Account Information

In order to access certain parts of the services you will need to create an account or, if you are part of an organisation with an enterprise-wide account, have an account allocated to you. Each account is limited to one user.

You acknowledge and agree that your account information (usually your email address and password) is the means by which we identify you for the purposes of access to the services and that our systems will allow anyone who provides your username and password to access your account including your content in that account. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to provide us with accurate information or to keep your account information secure.

You must keep any passwords secure and protected and not permit unauthorised persons to use those passwords to access the services.

You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy, completeness and confidentiality of your account information. You will be responsible for all activities that occur under your account, including activities of others to whom you provide your account information.

If you discover any unauthorised use of your account or suspect that any unauthorised person may be able to access your content, you should immediately change your password and notify the support team at help@jade.io.

Consequences

We reserve the right to interpret this policy and take such action as we deem appropriate in our discretion. This may include (in addition to other remedies that may be available to us or others) permanently or temporarily disabling your account and/or removing your content. You will cooperate with us to investigate any suspected violation of this policy.
